The Relaxation of Pottery????

Yesterday after work, I took my three nieces to this cute paint your own pottery place named Creatopia! We had a lot of fun. Natalie (3 years old) painted a cup with a frog on it, Maddy (6 years old) painted a mirror and Ashley (14 years old) painted a travel mug. My choice was a tea pot. Ashley meticulously painted her cup with different color stripes, Maddy painted a ton of colors then decided to smudge them all together ending with a purplish blue mirror, and Natalie used lots of greens and a few other colors. Every one's pottery turned out beautiful! My sister Amber dropped by and decided to stay...... Thank Goodness!!!! I forgot how much attention a 3 year old required, she was behaving perfectly, but she would need help, or reassurance, or more paint (every 10 seconds :)) and it would have been a struggle for me to keep up with her, so I was happy that Amber stayed to watch and help out! I can't wait to pick out projects up next week and see the finished products!!!! It was nice to spend that time with the girls. Bryce is hardly interested in going to a pottery place at his age, or any other "girlie" activity for that matter. Plus, I get to enjoy a lot of time with my nephews because the boys get together so often for sleep overs or just to play. But I sometimes feel that I am missing out on those special times with the girls, so I was really excited at the thought of us all having some special time together!
Bryce came home from his UP trip yesterday evening. Mark and I could not wait to see him. Although he wasn't gone for more than a few days, it was quiet and boring and un eventful around the house without him. He brings so much light & love into our lives, I wanted to grab him and hug and kiss him, but I had to be cool, he is a 12 year old after all (You know..... a grown up! Ahahahahah). I could tell he missed us too. After the pottery I picked him up from basketball practice, took him to the store to buy some more basketball shorts, then out to dinner. He is so funny, he and I were cracking up the whole time! Mark finished playing golf, then met up with us for dinner. He and Bryce wanted some ice cream, so off to DQ they went while I headed home. I was exhausted after the long day, I gather up some laundry to wash gave the boys a kiss goodnight then off to bed. About 45 minutes later the boys headed up to bed (Bryce snuck into my room asked if I was still awake, gave me a kiss and a hug and told me he missed me...... he does still love my hugs and kisses!!!)
